Dimitri Demesmin was born in Port-au-Prince on February 19, 1975, to the late Marie Immaculee Demesmin née Legros and Joseph Fresnel Demesmin. He completed primary and secondary studies in Les Cayes in the South of Haiti.

Under the guidance of the late Bishop Jean Alix Verrier, he entered the seminary in 1997 and was ordained a priest for the diocese of Les Cayes on September 12, 2004, in the Cathedral of the same city.

After ten years of ministry in the diocese, he came to the United States, where he carried out several missions such as in Hartford in Connecticut, Washington DC, Massachusetts, Houston (Texas), Atlanta, and New Jersey.

Currently, he serves as the Parochial Vicar at the Padre Pio Diocesan Shrine in the diocese of Camden, NJ, where he continues to inspire and guide the faithful.
