
Rendez-Vous Lanmou
Born on May 27, 1981, in Cavaillon, southern Haiti, Rev. Father Carl Jean, C.S., is a Haitian priest of the Congregation of the Missionaries of Saint Charles Borromeo – Scalabrinians. He began his ministry in the Archdiocese of Atlanta in January 2018, after nearly six years of service as the head of the Propaedeutic Program at the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary and as a professor at both the Notre-Dame Major Seminary and Notre-Dame University in Haiti. He also worked with the Spanish-speaking and Haitian Catholic communities in Atlanta and Haiti.
After completing his secondary education in Haiti, Father Carl went to Colombia, where he earned degrees in philosophy - theology, as well as a diploma in pastoral theology for Latin America and the Caribbean. He then continued his studies in Rome, Italy, where he earned a master's degree in spiritual theology.
Currently, Father Carl serves as the chaplain of the Haitian Community in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. With a dynamic missionary spirit, he carries on the work of the priests and leaders who preceded him, preaching the message of Christ and fostering spiritual growth wherever the Lord has placed him.
